Yüksekdağ has criticized the government and president for having mixed approaches in the peace process for the Kurdish bid while speaking at her party’s parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday. 'Package does not serve peace and solution' Yüksekdağ evaluates the security package and states, "Risks will occur for the ongoing peace and democratic solution process if the security package pass at the parliament. The package does not in the advantage of the society. When you have still enough time, pull this package back. This package does not serve peace and solution. Who can believe in peace in a country where a war initiated with security package? Valour of palaca-owners and threats of AKP cannot concince us. The opponent powers and Kurdish movement do understand the language of this package very well." 'Do not make a fool of this society!' Yüksekdağ reminds that police are going to demonstrations without their weapons and reactes fiercely, "However, you are ordering police to be armed more and to use these weapons without restrictions. It is foremostly a shame and then a distortion to try to remove a democratic content from this afore-said so-called security package. Do not make a fool of this society!" She touches on police chief's "Tear gas does not kill" discourse and underlines, "8 citizens have died of tear gas within the recent process. Also, over 400 others were wounded. You ordered police to 'hit people' in 2007. Since then, 183 people were massacred with police bullets." 'HDP will set up the most powerful barricade against fascism' HDP co-chair reminds President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's remarks on the system of presidency and goes on her speech, "He says if there will be system of presidency, then Turkey will become at a further stage; it is possible not to join here. If there will be such a system, the country will become at a further stage on the subject of pressures and anti-democratic applications. We will not let anyone to make further advance on fasictic applications anymore. HDP will set up the most powerful barricade against fascism." (nt)
