Bayık: Rojava Revolution will lead democratization in Syria 2015-03-12 15:49:42 NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - KCK Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık spoke to Rojeva Welat program on Sterk TV yesterday evening. KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık remarked that the victory in Kobanê has revealed a new situation and strengthened the Rojava Revolution which has proved itself capable of leading democratization in Syria. 'Rojava Revolution will lead democratization in Syria' Commenting on ISIS attacks on Syria and Iraq, Bayık stressed that the attitude of international powers has changed with the Kobanê resistance, adding; "Those who had remained silent at ISIS attacks and even supported it have changed their approach and took sides with Kobanê resistance. This happened because of the fact that they would have lost in the entire Middle East territory if they hadn't stood by the Kobanê resistance which forced them to do so." Bayık remarked that the victory in Kobanê has revealed a new situation and strengthened the Rojava Revolution which has proved itself capable of leading democratization in Syria. 'We will fight against ISIS everywhere' Also speaking about the Iraqi army's operation to liberate Mosul, Bayık pointed to the balances of power in Mosul the liberation of which -he underlined- wasn't wanted by Turkey. He noted that some circles wanted to take Mosul and drive the ISIS gangs here on Rojava. Referring to Turkish Minister of Defense's visit to Iraq, Bayık said this was also related with this plan. Calling attention to the importance of liberation of Til Hemis and Til Barak for Rojava and Sinjar, Bayık warned that the danger remained. Cemil Bayık pointed out that they were ready to fight against ISIS when asked to do so, adding; "We can fight against ISIS everywhere. We are determined to fight these enemies of humanity and we can take part in the clean-up operation in Mosul when needed. These enemies of humanity shouldn't be present anywhere." 'HDP is the only power to confront AKP' Lastly speaking about the 7 June general election in Turkey, KCK Executive Council Co-President emphasised that the AKP government wanted to strengthen its hegemony with this election. "The goal of the AKP is to win the election. It wants to amend the major acts of the constitution, to prepare one according itself and to bring the presidential system. In the event of succeeding in this, it aims to enhance its dictatorship and hegemony. It wants to silence and eliminate the opposition. This is their purpose." Remarking that the general election will determine the fate of everyone, Bayık said conditions were adequate in order for the circles of democracy to accomplish a favorable result. He emphasised that all democratic circles should unite under the roof of HDP and make a joint move, and that this was the only way to change the fate of Turkey. Bayık underlined that HDP was the only power to counter the AKP. (nt)
