House raids in Istanbul: Many in custody

İSTANBUL (DİHA) - Turkish police raided several houses in Çekmeköy and Sancaktepe districts of Istanbul early in the morning and detained 12 citizens including HDP's election observers.

In Çekmeköy and Sancaktepe districts of Istanbul, Turkish police organized house raids at the early hours of the morning. At least 2 were taken into custody in Çekmeköy and 10 in Sancaktepe. 

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) members, election observers and youths are among the detainees. The motive behind the custody has not explained yet. Reports say the number of detainees may increase.
