3 dead in provocation in Diyarbakır

DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - Following the armed attack that targeted the president of the İHYA-DER Aytaç Baran, supporters of the Hüda-Par party killed 3 people and heavily wounded 2 others.

Following an armed attack that targeted the president of the İHYA-DER, known with close ties with the radical Islamist Hüda-Par (Free Cause Party), supporters of the Hüda-Par party opened fire on Sisê teahouse and other workplaces in Şehitlik neighborhood. 2 of the 4 people who were hospitalized after suffering injuries in the attack have lost their lives.

Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that 3 more people were killed after Aytaç Baran’s death. DHA reporter Canan Altıntaş is currently being operated after she was attacked by Hüda-Par supporters with sticks and knives.
