Five more villages liberated

GİRÊ SPÎ (DİHA) - YPG liberated 5 more villages in its operation against ISIS in Rojava.

Following a major military campaign on the 49th uninterrupted day, combined forces of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units (YPG/YPJ), alongside fighters from the Burkan al-Firat (Euphrates Volcano - FSA) Joint Ops. Room from both Kobanê and Cizîr Cantons continue to maintain and advance a significant move against Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group in the south of the town Girê Spî, Rojava, Syria.

YPG  liberated 5 more villages in its operation against ISIS in Rojava. YPG Media Center stated that People’s/Women’s Defense Units (YPG/YPJ) fighters continue to advance on the 49th day of the Commander Rubar Qamishlo Operation.

In its statement, YPG said that YPG-YPJ forces continued liberating nearby villages after their expulsion of ISIS gangs from the town of Ayn Îsa yesterday. These villages are Me'ruda a Jor, Me'ruda a Jêr, Westa, Siweyhan and Ebdo.

YPG-YPJ forces also expulsed ISIS gangs from the wheat silos near the village of Ebdo, and the number of ISIS losses has not been determined yet.

YPG-YPJ forces confiscated large amounts of guns and ammunition, and continue their minesweeping efforts near the recently liberated villages.
