HPG: 3 guerrillas martyred in Turkish airstrikes 2015-07-26 18:30:29 NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - HPG Press Center said in a written statement on its website that Turkish army continued its expansive airstrikes against the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones on July 25. HPG said heavy artillery attacks from the military outposts at the border also continued. HPG gave the following information regarding the bombardments of the Turkish military; "On July 25, Turkish jets flew over the Kandil area from 13:20 to 14:00, and shelled the Martyr Rüstem Hill, which started a fire in the area that is still continuing. From 10:40 to evening hours on July 25, Turkish jets interruptedly flew over Xakurke area where also warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft performed flights from 20:00 in the evening till late in the night, followed by flights over Xınêrê area later. Turkish warplanes shelled the Tabura Araba area at 12:55 on July 25, and the Arıs Farıs area between 11:30 and 12.00 at noon. A fire started by this bombardment in Arıs Farıs village still continues. Turkish jets also shelled the Dola Bira area and surroundings from 12:00 to 13:40 yesterday, starting a fire which is still continuing. Turkish jets also flew over Bektorya area from 22:00 to 00:00 on July 25. A large part of the Gare area was shelled by Turkish jets from 22:30 July 24th to 05:30 yesterday. A fire started by the bombardment in the area greatly damaged the lands of the local villagers. On July 24, Turkish jets and reconnaissance aircraft flew over Metina area from 23:30 on July 24 to 05:00 on July 25. From 05:00 in the morning to 12:00 at noon on July 25, Turkish jets shelled Şener Bay and surroundings, Duavê area, Qumrî, Derarê, Beşilê, Dergêlê, Xanke, Yekmalê and Hesê villages and surroundings, as well as the areas of Kani Gorê and Kani Reşê. A fire started by the bombardments continued till 02:00 at night. On July 25th, Turkish jets also shelled the Cehennem hillside and Kani Sarkê area in Çiyaye Reş region with the support of warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft between 09:00 and 14:10, Zap Martyrs' Cemetery area at 12:00 at noon, and the Mahir Mirzo area at the border with Çukurca between 12:00 and 13:00." Recalling yesterday's statement which reported that three guerrillas were wounded in the airstrikes, HPG said four more guerrillas were wounded in the bombardments of the Turkish army yesterday, according to further information gathered. 3 guerrillas lost their lives in yesterday's air strikes HPG reported that three guerrillas caring for the martyrs' cemeteries were martyred in yesterday's airstrikes, and vowed to continue the struggle handed over to them by the martyrs with the determination of fulfilling their historic duty.
