Thousands bid farewell to Göktürk executed by police 2015-08-02 10:08:38 MUŞ (DİHA) - Thousands of people bid farewell to HPG fighter Mirzeydin Göktürk (nom de guerre Mervan Axçar), who had been executed by police in a house raid in Ağrı, in his homeland eastern province of Muş. Special operation teams of police executed 3 people in a house they raided in Ağrı province previous night. After hundreds of special operation police blockaded the Sıtkiye neighborhood of Ağrı, police teams raided a house and executed Sezai Yaşar (26), his brother Ahmet Yaşar and HPG fighter Mirzettin Göktürk inside. One of the victims, HPG fighter Göktürk, was laid to rest in Kızılağaç town of Muş province at the evening hours of Saturday. A massive crowd including HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Muş deputies, DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) Ağrı Co-mayor Sırrı Sakık, HDP former MP Demir Çelik, HDP and DBP, MEYA-DER executives and representatives of non-governmental organizations joined the funeral ceremony. The body was firstly brought to mosgue for religious duties and then shouldered towards the cemetery. Flags of PKK, posters of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and HPG fighter Göktürk were carried in the funeral ceremony. Erdoğan responsible from deaths Thousands of people often chanted the slogans of "PKK is people, the people is here", "PKK, revenge" and "Martyrs do not die" in the march. HDP Muş Dputy Burcu Çelik Özkan made a short speech and noted, "President Erdoğan is dragging the country into a civil war for his ruling. The only responsible of all these deaths is Erdoğan himself.
