Freedom fighters liberate Shengal

SHENGAL (DİHA) - Kurdish fighters liberated Shengal from Daesh gangs. The city is under full control of the Kurdish fighters.

Kurdish YBŞ (Shengal Defense Units) and YPJ (Women Defense Units) forces along with the guerrillas of the HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA Star (Free Women Troops) liberated the city this morning.

The Kurdish fighters had started the operation to liberate Shengal yesterday. After heavy clashes around the city, Kurdish resisters cleansed the city from barbaric Daesh gangs.

The General Commandery of the Kurdish fighters made a short statement and announced that the city was under their full controll.
