Massacre-like accident in Van: 11 killed, 4 injured

VAN (DIHA) - A massacre-like accident took place in Van province, claiming lives of 11 people and injuring four others this morning.

At least 11 people were killed and four others were injured when a truck crashed into a passenger coach in eastern Van province early on Dec. 12.

The coach passengers were teachers and students traveling from Van's Erciş district to the city center for an examination.

A crime scene investigation team is at the scene, while the injured have been taken to hospitals in the area.

The identities of accident victims are as following: "Sait Işık, Barış Turna, Refik Ceylan, Mehmet Tormac, Kudret Ceylan, Hamdi Tel, İsmet Ağaç, Turan Aladağ, Murat Ateş, Umut Batmaz, Barış Yalçınkaya and Muhammed Yalçınkaya".
