Police attack march in Van 2015-12-21 14:48:18 VAN (DİHA) - Thousands of people gathered in Feqîyê Teyran Park to protest the attacks and civilian massacres in Kurdistan, facing police attacks. After the police crackdown yesterday, the people decided "uninterrupted actions" in Van. HDP MPs Bedia Özgökçe and Nadir Yıldırım, the co-chairs of Van and dicstricts municipalities, the HDP-DBP provincial and district administrators, Peace Mothers, NGOs representatives and thousands of people gathered in Feqîyê Teyran Park. The police, special forces and armoured vehicles blockaded the mass. The people shouted slogans such as "The pressures can not discourage us", "The PKK is people, people are here". Then the police started to attack the people with tear gas and water cannon. The people are still marching despite of the attacks. Lots of citizens including HDP deputies and officials have been battered by Turkish police. (nt)
