Intervention to group trying to make an explanation in Gezi Park

ISTANBUL (DİHA) - Police used tear gas to intervene in a group of Republican People’s Party (CHP) youth branch members on, while they were trying to make a press statement at Istanbul’s Gezi Park.
Members of the CHP’s Istanbul youth branch members, as well as social democrat and socialist youth leaders from around the world who were in Istanbul for a program titled “Occupy the World for the Construction of a Better One,” gathered to issue a press statement on the steps of Gezi Park early, but police did not allow them to enter the park and intervened with tear gas. Police did not allow the group to enter, using tear gas to disperse them.
