'No force can halt the freedom of leader Apo'
NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - KCK Executive Council Presidency said "the Kurdistan freedom struggle will now aim for the freedom of leader Apo", adding that there was no force capable of resisting the will of over millions of people.
The KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Presidency has issued a statement, saying that ten million signatures had been collected and handed over to the Council of Europe calling for the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. The statement said: “The Kurdistan freedom struggle will from now on aim for the freedom of leader Apo. We will step up the struggle for a free Kurdistan.” The KCK Executive Council Presidency thanked everyone who had participated in the campaign that collected 10,400,000 signatures calling for freedom for Abdullah Öcalan.
'Council of Europe has a responsibility'
The KCK statement continued, saying: “The 10 million 400 thousand signatures collected in Turkey, all four parts of Kurdistan and all over the world have been handed over to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The Council of Europe now has a responsibility to the millions who signed the petition.”
‘A free leader and a free Kurdistan’
The KCK statement said the Kurdistan freedom struggle would now aim for the freedom of leader Apo, adding that there was no force capable of resisting the will of over ten million people. The statement concluded by emphasising that efforts for a free leader and a free Kurdistan would by doubled.
