Yüksekdağ: HDP is a river that no threshold can contain
ANKARA (DİHA) - The People’s Democratic Party (HDP) has introduced its parliamentary candidates at the upcoming general elections at a press conference in Ankara today.
The press conference attracted great attention from the media and HDP members. The press conference has been held by the co-chairs of the HDP, Figen Yuksekdag and Selahattin Demirtaş and the current HDP deputies, with the participation of all the candidates as well as members of HDP.
Late MPs Elçi and Bozlak remembered
Co-chairs Yüksekdağ and Demirtaş presented plaques to the deputies of the HDP. The plaque of Serafettin Elçi, who recently lost his life, was received by his son, Heja Elçin, while that of Murat Bozlak, who also died recently, was presented to his brother. Election song of HDP has been also introduced in the meeting.
'HDP has enhanced hope of all society'
Speaking in her party's meeting, HDP General Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ said, "HDP has enhanced hope of all the society like a child. These candidates of HDP are hope of all the peoples. There are workers, labourers, women, freedom-lover academiscians, students and educators. There are villagers, crafts in the list. This list is our future, our freedom and our hope. The dominants cannot understand such a meaningful list."
'List of HDP is alternative to political enforcements'
"The list of HDP is alternative to political enforcements. This power and discrepancy exist only at the HDP. The mother of a dying guerrilla and the mother of a dying soldier can be seen only in the list of HDP. The political ruling cannot understand such a unity. This unity and solidarity of peoples at the HDP is of power of peace. We will bring democracy to this country all together," Yüksekdağ underlined.
HDP co-chair added, "HDP's list represents joint power of Turkey against fascistic policy. We will listen to peace songs, not dictatorial words. We will turn upside down the politics resisting against change. Turkey's peoples and the HDP is a river. No thresholds or dams can inhibit it. We'll demolish all the dams at upcoming general elections." She underlined HDP had formed list of peace and fraternity against monism and dictatorship.
'We'll continue down the road'
The biggest power of the HDP is power and freedom of woman, states Yüksekdağ and concludes, "Women have seized 2015 general elections. This list is the will of this fact. Women will become power of freedom. We'll continue down the road. We'll embrace the HDP and go on. We'll leave ajar the door to carry the peoples to the ruling."
