Yüksekdağ: Exploitation of religion is on the scrap heap
SİİRT (DİHA) - Speaking in her party's election rally in Siirt, HDP General Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ called on Siirt people who paved the way for Erdoğan's prime ministry. "Siirt made you prime minister, Erdoğan but it won't make yoy foreman. Siirt will not make Erdoğan foreman. Siirt will be the power of change and piooner Turkey," adressed to tens of thousands of people.
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) General Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ joined her party's election rally and addressed to tens of thousands of people in southeastern province of Siirt. The party held its Siirt rally today at Cumhuriyet Square. The HDP faced a marvelous interest in Siirt, known as the garden of peoples. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan rallied for the AKP in that square on May 4th, but he played for empty squares. The peoples in Siirt showed no interest to Erdoğan.
Yüksekdağ, was met by a crowd of people consisting of HDP Siirt deputy candidates Kadri Yıldırım, Hatice Seviptekin and İsmail Aydın, HDP, DBP (Democratic Regions Party), and representatives of non-governmental organizations. Inspite of rainy weather, tens of thousands of people flowed to the square and filled in the square.
'We are on the verge of second victory'
"We will live the victory joy of June 7th all together," Yüksekdağ started her speech amid slogans in support the her party and PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. She drew attention on the resistance of Kobanê and indicated, "How Kobanê has won against the darkness and tyranny, we will also win likely. We will embrace victory against the hegemonic policy. Kobanê is the victory of all the peoples."
She continued, "This resisting great humanity is on the verge of another victory. June 7th is verge of our second victory. We will unite all Turkey against these barbarians and tyrants. The HDP is the party of clear future and hope. We will firstly go to the parliament, and then to the ruling with the peoples in Turkey."

The political ruling is reducing the values and beliefs of people into means of politics, she underlined. "Erdoğan has revealed himself as a religion-monger. Exploitation of religion is on the scrap heap anymore. Time has ended for this. You will go further on such a policy," said Yüksekdağ, adding all the colours and voices of Turkey will liberate.
In the wake of Yüksekdağ's speech, the deputy candidates saluted the crowd.
