Bağrıyanık: Talks with Öcalan must begin right away
ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - The 4th Avaspi Nature Festival, organized by Uludere Municipality, was held yesterday with thr participation of tens of thousands of people.
Tens of thousands of people including HDP Şırnak deputy candidates Faysal Sarıyıldız and Ferhat Encü, İmralı Delegation Member and KJA (Congress of Free Women) Activist Ceylan Bağrıyanık, Şırnak co-mayors, officials of HDP and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) participated into the 4th Avaspi Nature Festival, organized with the motto of "Let's claim our land, water and nature" by Uludere Municipality.
The locals rushed to the Avaspi Flatland 5 kms far from Uludere district of southeastern province of Şırnak. The placards demanding support for an ecological life, flags of PKK, KCK and YPG were hung to the square field. The locals put on their traditional clothes and turned the area into array of bright colours. Hundreds of youngs chanted slogans of "Long live leader Apo" and slogans in support of HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party).
'We aren't able to meet Öcalan for 40 days'
İmralı Delegation Member and KJA Activist Ceylan Bağrıyanık addressed to mass of people and said, "AKP Government is delaying the talks and meetings. We aren't able to meet Kurdish People Leader Dear Abdullah Öcalan for over 40 days. To inhibit talks with Öcalan at this process is damaging the path to peace and solution. This attitude of AKP is unacceptable. Talks with Dear Öcalan must begin right away."
'Project of HDP is being blocked'
The joint statement of Dolmabahçe is known by everybody, she added. "But, the government is denying this. Öcalan has done his best for permanent peace and solution. He has endeavored a great effort. To inhibit visits to Imrali is to block the project of HDP. Project of HDP is being blocked," underlined KJA activist Bağrıyanık.
The crowds of people danced halays accompanied with Kurdish songs, and the festival ended with concerts.
