Dozens have been injured in two concurrent blasts at HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) rally in Diyarbakır as HDP Co-president Selahattin Demirtaş was about to take the stage to address tens of thousands in the area.
While the photos taken at scene show iron marbles placed in explosives, hospital authorities reported gunpowder and buckshot on the bodies of the wounded.
Evidences at the scene contradict the initial reports that the explosions were caused by a fault in a power generator at the venue.
The casualties were rushed to Selahattin Eyyübi State Hospital and Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital by the people in the area as police hindered their access to ambulances.
