People curse double bombs in streets nightlong
NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - Following the massacre attempt in Diyarbakır, people poured into streets in Kurdish cities after double bombs hit the crowd joining the HDP rally late in the afternoon.
As HDP General Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş was preparing to take to the stage, an explosion took place, followed immediately by a second. Twin explosions killed 4, wounded 350, at least 30 are in serious condition. Tens of thousands of people across the city kept waiting outside all the hospitals where the wounded have been being treated. In Diyarbakır Avenue, condemned the attack with slogans. Police interfered with plastic bullets and gas canisters.
In Silvan district of Diyarbakır, thousands took streets at evening hours of Friday in order to protest the attack. But police attacked with gas bombs at the citizens. The residents of the city switched on and off the lights and made noise with saucepan to protest the attack. The action of noise ended with the slogans of "Martyrs do not die" and "Killer state".
In Mardin's central Artuklu district, people cursed the attacks in the streets. Some of the drivers sounded the horn, some made noise and showed their democratic reaction. The crowds of people often chanted the slogans of "Killer Erdoğan".
Hundreds of people took the streets in Dersim province and cursed the attacks at Seyid Rıza Square. The mass of people held a march towards Freedom Square and shouted slogans in support of HDP.
The residents of Batman city poured their anger into the streets. They came together in front of HDP's central election office and shouted slogans od "Murderer Erdoğan" and "Killer state will give account". Batman Co-mayor Sabri Özdemir addressed to the citizens there and invited them to go to their houses in order to puncture provocations.
Şırnak and its Silopi, Cizre and İdil districts thousands of people condemned the barbaric bomb attack fiercely nightlong. A group of youths closed the main road in Silopi and chanted "Killer Erdoğan". Cizre and İdil district saw protests actions.
