9 custodies in Bitlis house raids
BİTLİS (DİHA) - Nine citizens have been taken into custody in the house raids carried out in Bitlis and its Tatvan district.
Special operationist teams and riot police raided several houses in Bitlis at the morning hours. DBP (Democratic Regions Party) executive Mesut Güngördü, Mehmet İşlek, Ali Ayaz and Ahmet Pirav have been detained by police. They were detained with the claim of "aiding an illegal organization".
Simultaneous house raids have been carried out by Turkish police also in Tatvan district. In the raids, Mehmet Gülen, Cevdet Sevim, Fırat Acar, Hüseyin Beyhan and Onur Soranlı have been taken into custody with the claim of "being in search for action" and "being in youth foundation of KCK".
Police seized HDP's election brochures, books and computers in the raids. The detainees have been brought tob Bitlis provincal police headquarters.
