11 HDP candidates elected in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (DİHA) - With 99 percent of the votes counted in Istanbul, HDP has succeeded to have 11 seats in the parliament receiving 12.43% of the votes.

Peoples, minorities, faith groups, oppressed and women said “New Life” in Istanbul and the provinces in Marmara region as well as in other parts of Turkey and North Kurdistan. With 99 percent of the votes counted in Istanbul, HDP has succeeded to have 11 candidates elected, receiving 12.43% of the votes.

3 candidates of the HDP enter the parliament with 10.58 percent of the votes in the first election district, while the other 3 candidates of the party have been elected in the second election district with 12.35 percent of the votes. HDP saw the highest score in the 3rd election district, receiving 14.50 of the votes and having 5 parliamentarians elected. HDP has gone over the MHP; the 3rd party according to the overall country results, in the 3rd district of Istanbul.

Furthermore, HDP has succeeded to have 1 candidate, Asiye Kolçak, elected in Bursa, the second biggest city in Marmara region. With 96.98 percent of the votes counted so far, HDP scored 5.34, receiving 90,617 votes. HDP has increased its votes in the city in comparison to previous elections, in which the scores of the party were pretty low.
