Victory of HDP celebtared in Kobanê
KOBANÊ (DİHA) - Just a few months ago massive crowds were pouring into the streets in Northern Kurdistan (Turkey) to celebrate the victory of the Kobanê resistance. Now, the people of Kobanê have taken to the streets to congratulate the people of Northern Kurdistan on their own victory in the Turkish election.
Hundreds took to the streets in the beleaguered city to dance in celebration of the victory, honking their horns within hearing distance of the villages just across the border.
The YPJ resistance forces sent a message of celebration to the HDP for surpassing Turkey's massive electoral threshold. "This is a victory for all those peoples living under oppression in the Middle East," said the YPJ.
Countless HDP candidates, in their speeches last night, said that those who lost their lives in Rojava and particularly in the Kobanê resistance had a role in the party's victory.
