Governor's Office: 3 dead, 3 injured
DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - Diyarbakır Governor's Office stated that 3 people died in the events that took place in the Şehitlik neighborhood of Diyarbakır’s Yenişehir district.
The Governor's Office stated that Yeni İhya-Der Association president Aytaç Baran was killed in front of the association’s office and two more people lost their lives in the armed confrontation that followed Baran’s murder. 1 civilian and 2 journalists who were trying to film the confrontation got injured during the events.
The Governor's Office stated that they took necessary security precautions and formed a Crisis Desk after the incidents. Governorship’s statement ended with a call for precaution and sensitivity for provocation attempts.
