Body of YPG fighter Keith Broomfield received at border
URFA (DİHA) - Body of YPG's 37-year-old American fighter Keith Broomfield (nom de guerre Gelhat Rûmet) has been received by USA Adana Consulate officials at Mursitpinar Border Gate.
Body of YPG's (People's Protection Units) fighter 37-year-old American fighter Keith Broomfield (nom de guerre Gelhat Rûmet) was met USA Adana Consulate officials and a crowd of people at the border.
American YPG fighter Keith Thomas Broomfield (Gelhat Rumet) has fallen in the operation to liberate the Kobanê territory from ISIS gangs. YPG said in a written statement that the 37-year-old Broomfield was killed on 3 June during the operation to liberate Qenterê village of Kobanê .
In the wake of talk with the officials of MEYA-DER, an organization for solidarity with those lost in war in Mesopotamia, the USA Adana Consulate officials brought the body to Incirlik Air Base in Adana province.
YPG fighter Broomfield's body will be sent to his homeland Massachusetts to laid to rest.
