Dayiken Şemiyê: Missing and disappearances suffered at Demirel's term

ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - Saturday Mothers (Dayikên Şemiyê) gathered for repeating their demand for justice in Cizre district of Şırnak in the 339th week of the act and asked for justice for missing Aziz Gaysak, Süleyman Gaysak, Ömer Candoruk and Yahya Akman.

Saturday Mothers held their sit-in act as to enlighten the unsolved murders and to explain their outgrowth of the people who massacred under custody. In the act, the mothers carrying the placard "The album of disappeared" and the photographs of people, who were lost and sacrificed to unresolved murders, demanded justice for missing with carnations on their hands.

Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) executives, Human Rights Association (IHD) executives, KURDİ-DER, Peace Mothers Assembly, MEYA-DER, unions representatives and lots of citizens participated into the act.

Dayîkên Şemiyê asked aftermathes of Aziz Gaysak, Süleyman Gaysak, Ömer Candoruk and Yahya Akman who were massacred under custody by JITEM members Adem Yakın, Fırat Altın, Hıdır Altuğ and Cemal Temizöz in 1994.

Speaking in the act, MEYA-DER Cizre Branch Member Veysi Durgut said, "They were detained and massacred under custody. There are eye witnesses of this incident. We are demanding justice for missing".

İHD Cizre Representative Abdulkerim Pusat said some of media organs were depicting Süleyman Demirel as a hero, adding: "When Süleyman Demirel was prime minister, losing under custody and massacres increased in Kurdistan. There are hundreds of unresolved murders at his term of prime ministry".

The act of mothers ended with 5-minutes sit-in act.
