'I'm sorry that I couldn't look at Demirel's dirty face'
İSTANBUL (DİHA) - In the 534th week of sit-in act of Saturday Mothers, it has been stated that 9th President Süleyman Demirel lost his life without giving account. Missing Fehmi Tosun's wife Hanım Tosun said, "I am sorry for death of Demirel. I am sorry that I couldn't look at his dirty face by seizing him by the collar".
The Dayikên Şemiyê (Saturday Mothers) and the Human Rights Association (IHD) officials, in their search for justice in the 534th week, held sit-in act at Galatasaray Square, in the central Taksim area of Istanbul. They held the placards of "The perpetrators are evident, where are the missing?" and the photographs of people who were lost and sacrificed to unresolved murders.
They demanded justice for missings with red carnations on their hands. They dedicated this week of the act to Abdülvahap Ateş who was lost under custody in Kızıltepe district of Mardin on 14 October 1994.

Missing Fehmi Tosun's wife Hanım Tosun said, "I am sorry for death of Demirel. I am sorry that I couldn't look at his dirty face by seizing him by the collar. Demirel lived in wealth in this world. But, we will seize him by the collar in the other world".
Ateş firstly battered, then detained
One of the Saturday Mothers, Hatice Kalpaklı, read the statement of this week. "Abdülvahap Ateş and his elder brother Abdurrahim Ateş were taken into custody in Kızıltepe district of Mardin on 14 October 1994 after being battered. Abdülvahap Ateş was lost following this custody. After years and years, the jurisdiction launched a case. But, it still continues to protect the perpetrators," she underlined.
Following a five-minute sit-in, the mothers left the square to come together in the 535th week of their act.
