ISTANBUL (DİHA) - Yesterday, police attacked the mourning tent for Suruç victim Duygu Tuna, damaging the tent.

Duygu Tuna had been the co-chair for the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) for the Maltepe district of Istanbul. She was killed on Monday in the Suruç bombing, an attack on youth activists traveling to Kobanê to help rebuild the city.

Citizens had set up a tent for mourners for Duygu in a celebration area in Sarıgazi. Police, claiming the tent was "unauthorized," attempted to take it down. When members of the HDP and Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) objected, police attacked and damaged the tent.
