YPJ/YPG foil Daesh attack in Girê Spî
GIRÊ SPÎ (DİHA) - YPJ/YPG forces seized three bomb-laden vehicles in the Rojava city of Girê Spî, stopping a planned Daesh massacre.
Yesterday, YPJ/YPG forces stopped an attempted Daesh bombing in the city of Girê Spî in Rojava. According to Şiyar Hesen, from the Girê Spî Asayish (peacekeeping force), the force increased security around the city after receiving intelligence yesterday morning.
Five Daesh members had boarded a truck passing as a civilian vehicle, coming from Raqqa. They planned to stage an attack via Ayn Al Arus village, two kilometers south of the city. Also, two motorcycles had been brought from Raqqa laden with explosives and were passing through the town of Siluk on their way to the city.
When YPJ/YPG forces learned of the planned attack, they seized the vehicles. No one was harmed in the incident.
