NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) continue their operations in south Hesekê after the accomplishment of the Hawl offensive on 16 November. SDF have so far liberated a number of villages and settlements in the region as well as many civilians.

Combatants of the joint Syrian Democratic Forces have most recently rescued a woman left by Daesh to her death among mines in a village near the Hebin Tirşin Oil Company in southern countryside of Hesekê.

A disabled woman, who was too old to leave the village under Daesh occupation, remained in her house around which gangs planted mines and explosives before they fled the area as SDF continued to make further advances.

SDF combatants have rescued the woman by defusing the mines around her house one by one. YPJ fighters gave the woman food and water and took her somewhere safe under their protection.

After providing the elderly with her basic needs, YPJ fighters took the woman to hospital for a medical check and treatment.
