People in Dargeçit resumes resistance against police
MARDİN (DİHA) – As attacks in the Dargeçit district of Mardin has been ongoing since curfew was declared on 18.00 last night, attacks have increased in the morning. The attacks of state forces with grenade launchers have caused a fire in a house.
The Dargeçit district in Mardin has been in curfew since 18:00 local time last night. Yesterday, Turkish police made an attack against Sefa street in Dargeçit (Kerboran) district of Mardin. Before police troops were sent to Sefa street, the street was under curfew by the police and thereafter a curfew in the province was declared from 18.00 onwards.
Police attacks started after the curfew as civilians resisted to the Turkish forces by forming barricades on Sefa street. The attacks which continued throughout the night increased violence in the morning.
The police failed to enter the street despite their heavy attacks. The locals are resuming their resistance againsts attempts of massacre by Turkish state forces.
