Attacks in Sur continue after curfew declaration
DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) – With 17 hours passing from the curfew at the Sur district of Diyarbakir, attacks resume along with the declaration of curfew once again. During the conflict one police has been injured.
After 9 days of curfew, the Sur district of Diyarbakir was given a 17 hour break to neutralize public response and make civilians to leave the area. Afterwards the curfew was declared from 16.00 local time which put a start on attacks.
As attacks are increasing in the vicinity of Mardinkapı and Fatih Pasha Mosque, bullets are being fired in both areas.
On the curfew that was declared last time, grenade launchers used by special sorces have destructed many houses in the region. Many houses were harmed in the attacks completed by the police today.
A police has been injured by a bullet through his arm and is ongoing an operation at the hospital of Dicle University Medicine Faculty.
