Expected curfew in Cizre and Silopi
ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - Şırnak Governor's Office has made the expected announcement of a curfew in the districts of Cizre and Silopi. Accordingly, a ban to go out will go into effect in both districts as of 23:00 this evening.
The curfew came after the instruction of teachers serving in both districts to leave, and hospitals to hold their staff and materials ready for any case.
The statement by Governor's Office said that curfews have been placed in order to “neutralize members of the Separatist Terrorist Organisation, removal of their barricades and trenches trapped with mines and explosives, guarantee the citizens' security of life and property, and ensure public security”.
The Governor's Office claimed that “actions by members of the Separatist Terrorist Organisation target the citizens' basic rights, security and property and cause them material and moral damage”.
