ANKARA (DIHA) - The families of Suruç Massacre victims have denunciated against Erdoğan and Davutoğlu for confidentiality order imposed on the investigation file.

The Suruç Families Initiative, which brings together families of victims of July’s Suruç bombing, visited Ankara to demand a halt to a confidentiality order imposed on the investigation file and ask for punishment for perpetrators of the bombing that took the lives of 34 people.

The delegation visited the Republican People’s Party (CHP) and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) groups at the parliament on Dec. 15. The families presented a report on the “deficiencies in Suruç” to the CHP. Party member Özgür Özel said if the voices of those killed were heard, then the Ankara bomb attack, which was carried out in October ISIS affiliates, would not have happened.

Maşallah Devrim, a relative of a Suruç victim, said they were not able to receive any information due to the confidentiality order on the investigation file.

HDP Ankara MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder criticized the government of “shutting its eyes” to the Suruç Massacre.

The June 20 suicide attack targeted a municipal culture center in the southeastern province of Urfa’s Suruç district, where members of the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF) were staying as part of a summer expedition to help rebuild Kobane, which lies directly across the border.
