Explosion in Silvan: 3 police killed
DIYARBAKIR (DIHA) - During an explosion 3 police have died, and 5 police have been injured whilst driving in an armoured police vehicle on the Highway that connects the districts of Diyarbakir and Silvan.
It has been reported that during the explosion where on the Highway that connects Diyarbakir to Silvan, 3 police have died and 5 police have been injured when an explosion occurred whilst the vehicle was passing by. The explosion which occurred near the Oğuzlar district followed with ambulances which rushed the injured and dead police into hospital. Shortly after the explosion, an operation started in the area.
Police Chief Ahmet Kabukçu, who was temporarily appointed to Diyarbakır, Mustafa Nohut, a special police force member, and official Nuri Yazaner were killed.
The bodies of Şerdil Cengiz and Şiyar Salman, who were killed by police a day earlier, were laid to rest today, as a large crowd attended the ceremony.
