HDP delegation denied entry to Cizre
ŞIRNAK (DIHA) - A delegation of HDP officials were stopped from going to the curfew imposed district of Cizre in the province of Şırnak.
As curfew continues on its 4th day in the district of Cizre in Şırnak, HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) delegation, which includes deputies Lezgin Botan, Burcu Celik Özkan, Leyla Birlik, Berdan Öztürk along with HDP managers and various municipal co-chair, was blocked entry into Cizre by police and soldiers while they were at the exit of Şırnak. The delegation was manhandled by police and soldiers who prevented the group of officials from entering Cizre.
HDP MP Burcu Çelik Özkan has started walking towards Cizre after exceeding the barricade of soldiers and police. As his march continues, the delegation is being prevented from exiting the province.
