Attacks continue in Cizre
ŞIRNAK (DIHA) - During the curfew in the district of Cizre in Şırnak which was decared on 14th of December, attacks have increased its severity since the early hours of the day.
Many houses and one school has been under fire attacks due to cannon and grenade attacks. Attacks made towards neighbourhoods with severe shootings from hills prevent the civilians from stopping the fire which is being spread out.
Power cuts in the neighbourhoods of Yasef, Cudi and Nur have occurred along with fire taking place in many houses and a school. Special operation teams have been operating from hilltops where they were carrying out attacks. Some vehicles that were in neighbourhoods have been effected by grenade attacks, thus causing fire on cars.
Deceased 30 year old civilian named Hediye Şen, who was massacred with 3 bullets outside her house during the special operation team attacks, has been taken into the Şırnak state morgue after 16 hours passing by from her death. It is claimed that a watchman has been shot in the street of Botaş in the neighbourhood of Nur.
Civilian resistance against state terror
As harsh attacks continue in general of Cizre, the resistance of people is carrying on with tongue lashing noises and slogans of resistance against the state terror. As special forces attempted to enter neighbourhoods with armoured vehicles, they were stopped by people. Civilians of Cizre prevented the armoured vehicles from entering the areas. Forces were having to be withdrawn from the area due to resistance.
Civillians that are resisting on the streets are sending out calls to everyone. They are asking the public to not be silent against state attacks alongside supporting their acts of resistance in Cizre.
