State forces target houses in Sur: 9 wounded
DIYARBAKIR (DIHA) - Onslaught by state forces continues against civilian people in Diyarbakir's central Sur district which remains under a heavy curfew for 16 days.
As tension remains high across the district since early this morning, state forces targeted 3 houses with artillery fire in Hasırlı neighborhood Thursday afternoon. While all the three houses were heavily damaged, 7 people in one of them got wounded by case shots, including a child. Two among them are reported to have suffered serious injuries.
HDP Diyarbakir deputy Sibel Yiğitalp said no health staff has been sent to the scene yet as ambulances are not being allowed into the area for days now.
2 youths wounded as attacks in Sur get heavier
As the assault against civilians is getting heavier since this morning, two youths have been shot near Mardin Kapı in Kurşunlu Mosque area where attacks by state forces intensify. The two youths remain at the scene and cannot be taken to hospital amid a police blockade because of which no ambulances are allowed into the district. One of them is reported to be in critical condition.
