BATMAN (DİHA) - HDP Batman provincial co-chair Abdulbari Karaağaç reported that at least 30 people have been taken into custody in the popular resistance ongoing in the city.

Batman people have brought the life to a standstill today in protest at the genocidal executions of the Turkish state in Northern Kurdistan. Demonstrators have closed Diyarbakır-Batman road to traffic after gathering outside Batman Municipality at noon.

Police attacked the mass as they continued their protest on streets against state terror. While at least 30 people have been taken into custody, all the workplaces remain closed in solidarity with the popular resistance.

Clashes between police and demonstrators are going on.
