Police massacre 3 women in Nusaybin, Cizre and Silopi
MARDİN / ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - As the onslaught by Turkish state forces continues across the Kurdish region, increasingly ongoing attacks are claiming more civilian lives every day. Three Kurdish mothers have lost their lives as a result of attacks by special operation police today.
In Nusaybin district of Mardin where a curfew remains in effect for the seventh day, 39-year-old Emire Gök, mother of 4, lost her life as a result of attacks by state forces Sunday afternoon. According to witnesses, Gök was shot and killed after going to the garden of her house in Gırnavas neighborhood which remains outside the curfew area. Gök has reportedly been shot by bullets in the neck and feet.
CİZRE
In Cizre district of Şırnak which has left 7 days under curfew behind, attacks by state forces with heavy arms and tanks have intensified mainly in Cudi neighborhood. Zeynep Yılmaz (40) lost her life as a result of fire opened by police from an armored vehicle. Body of Yılmaz remains in the neighborhood and cannot be taken to hospital due to the ongoing siege and heavy clashes.
SİLOPİ
Another woman, 40-year-old Ayşe Buruntekin was also shot dead by special operation police in Şırnak's Silopi district. Buruntekin, mother of 9, was killed on the roof of her house in Cudi neighborhood which is being targeted by intense artillery strikes. Her body is being held in the house as state forces continue firing on the area.
