DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) Amed branch co-chair Hafiz İpek has called upon the people of Amed to take urgent action to hinder an imminent massacre in Sur.
While the onslaught by Turkish forces in Amed's (Diyarbakır) central Sur district has left 23 days behind, İpek said they have learned that police forces opened fire on people on Turistik (Touristic) Avenue in Sur this evening, which has resulted in casualties.
İpek called upon all Amed people to gathered outside DBP and HDP offices at 18:00 today to stop further mass killings.
Police have killed three people near the historical city walls in Amed centre in the wake of the crackdown on the people joining a march to Sur district.
