State forces attack HDP deputies on vigil in Sur

DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - Police teams have attacked the DBP, HDP and DTK executives holding vigil in Amed in protest at the siege and onslaught ongoing in the central Sur district for 23 days.
DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Selma Irmak, DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) co-chair Emine Ayna and several HDP deputies are joining the vigil at Dicle Fırat Cultural Centre in Balıkçılarbaşı vicinity located outside the curfew area in Sur.
The attack on the vigil came in the wake of the police crackdown on thousands who marched from Koşuyolu to Yeniköy Cemetery for the funeral of Serhat Doğan (19) who was killed by state forces the day before.
