ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - As the curfew and state of siege continues in Şırnak's Silopi district for the 17th uninterrupted day, state forces continue targeting neighborhoods with artillery fire upon their continued failure to enter the areas of self-rule protected by local self-defense units led by youths.
While the curfewed neighborhoods remain under fire, state forces have started a wave of detentions in other neighborhoods. Police teams also occupy some civilian houses and use them as headquarters.
Civilians Sadık Değer (45) and Necati Bayar who live in Nuh neighborhood are missing for the last two days. Their families are concerned over the safety of both men who went missing amid intensified gunfire and bombardment.
