Another wounded civilian dies waiting for an ambulance
ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - In Cizre district of Şırnak where state terror continues for the 42nd uninterrupted day, 28 civilians with wounds are still not allowed access to hospital.
Out of the 28 people who got wounded as a result of the aggression on Cudi neighborhood yesterday morning, situation of 18 is deteriorating. While attacks on the neighborhood continue reports are coming through that yet another one of the wounded has died.
Late yesterday evening, university student Cihan Karaman lost his life due to a continued prevention of access to hospital despite an interim measure by the European Court of Human Rights.
Cizre People's Council co-chair Mehmet Tunç, who is trapped in a basement together with the wounded, stated that another heavily injured civilian has died while waiting for an ambulance.
Tunç said the situation of the wounded is deteriorating every passing hour, noting that they don't even have any bandage left to respond to the injuries suffered by the people there. He remarked that state forces continue to conduct artillery attacks on the neighborhood and deny access of the wounded to hospital in an attempt to cause a mass killing.
Cizre People's Council co-chair reiterated the call he made yesterday evening, saying that; "We need to get out of here as soon as possible, for it will otherwise be our dead bodies to be removed from here.”
