Families are giving DNA samples for identifying the corpses.

DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) For the identification of people killed in Cizre, a "crisis desk" has been created in Diyarbakır, and already 60 families have applied. 28 of the 60 families have given DNA samples at Mardin public hospital.

For identifying the people killed in the "savagery basements" and the corpses that cannot be recognized, different Kurdish parties and organizations (DBP, MEDYA-DER, MEzopotamya Hukukçular Derneği) have started in Diyarbakır a "crisis desk" where families can apply. For identifying bodies, sent to Mardin, Urfa, Şırnak and Habur border gate in Silopi, until now 60 families applied to the "crisis desk".

Families, after applying on the "crisis desk", for giving the DNA samples were sent to the cities were the corpses are found. 28 of the 60 families applied on the "crisis desk" had to go to Mardin public hospital.

Until today, only from the 8 corpses taken to Urfa, the bodies of Sultan Irmak and Fehmi Dinç have been identified after the autopsy in the mortuary of Mehmet Akif Inan hospital. The identified bodies of Irmak and Dinç were sent for last journey to their home-places.

Statement of DBP (Demokratik Bölgeler Partisi)

The headquarters of DBP in a written statement are telling that:
"The bodies after the autopsy will be sent again to Cizre. This moment 7 corpses are in Mardin, 26 in Urfa, 13 in Şırnak and 36 in Silopi, which in total makes 82. DNA samples regarding this topic will be taken at Mardin and Silopi and we repeat that you should contact the "crisis desk" and then go to Mardin and Silopi. Photos of some bodies are found at the "crisis desk" and identification through photographs is possible, after coming in touch with the "crisis desk".
