House raids, violent attacks in İdil
ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - For months, the attacks and blockade have been continued in the İdil district of Şırnak. Martial law under the name of “curfew” declared in İdil yesterday at 11:00 p.m. After the curfew started, the attacks have been intensified in the town. As severe explosions occurred in the evening, state forces started to conduct house raids.
Attacks and blockade have been continued nonstop for moths in the İdil district of Şırnak. The attacks have been intensified since martial law under the name of “curfew” declared yesterday. Hundreds of armored vehicles, thousands of soldiers and police have despatched from Cizre to İdil since yesterday morning. 4000 gendarmes and special forces were sent to the town. Additionally, 50 tanks, trucks, buckets and hedgehog-type vehicles have been deoplyed in the town. State forces started to rake the neighborhoods with gunfire last night. Gunshots and explosions have been heard from the town since then. No information could be obtained about the attacks and explosions.
State forces attacked the Yeni and Turgut Özal neighborhoods all night with tanks and artillery. They opened fire on the neighborhoods. Meanwhile, state forces have conducted house raids in the Aşağı neighborhood of the İdil.
State forces’s attacks have continued in the town.
