Attack, arrest at first hearing of Dilek Doğan case
İSTANBUL (DİHA) People gathered for the first hearing of Dilek Doğan. Turkish state forces attacked the crowd and took many people into custody, among them Dilek’s brother Emrah Doğan.
Dilek Doğan (25) who was shot during a house raid on October 19, 2015 in Sarıyer district of İstanbul conducted in connection with a “DHKP-C (Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party – Front) Investigation” died on October 25, 2015. She was heavily wounded when the police opened fire in the house. Dilek Doğan’s family declared that the police opened fire when they had a dispute for wearing overshoes to enter the house.
Çağlayan (İstanbul) Heavy Penal Court accepted the indictment against Yüksel Moğultay for the killing Dilek Doğan. The first hearing of Dilek Doğan started today at Çağlayan 10.Criminal Court. The members of the People's Front, CHP Youth Wing and Dilek’s family gathered in front of the courthouse Çağlayan to join the hearing. Turkish state forces attacked the people with rubber bullets. After the attacks, the people began a sit down strike. State forces blockaded the people and took many of them into custody, among them Dilek’s brother Emrah Doğan. Some people have been wounded by rubber bullets.
Dilek’s family hearing tranfered to a large courtroom due to the small hall of the 10.Criminal Court on the request of the family. The hearing is continuing with police blockade in front of the courthouse.
