Police detains Co-Mayors of Amed
AMED(DİHA)-Co-Mayors of Amed Municipality Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı were detained by Counter Terrorism Unity's forces(TEM).Police raided to town hall and co-mayors' house for searching.
Amed(Diyarbakır) Municipality co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı were detained yesterday evening by police forces.Kışanak and Anlı were taken into custody "as a part of investigation into terrorism", public prosecutor said in a statement.
Kışanak was taken into custody in Diyarbakır Airport while she was coming back from Ankara.Kışanak was listened yesterday in Ankara by research commission of parliamentary for coup attempts of 15 July.Kışanak turned to Amed After she was listened by comisson .Kışanak was taken into custody when she arrived to Diyarbakır Airport.
Police searched Kışanak's and Anlı's house.
Police forces simultaneously raided to town hall and detain of co-mayors. Many riot and special forces surrounded to town hall. Employees of municipality were precluded to enter the town hall by police forces. Authorities didnt share any information about the raid.Special forces with long barreled weapon were placed to roof of town hall and each floor.
After the raid HDP Amed parliamentary Feleknas Uca and Amed Bar president Ahmet Özmen came to in front of town hall.
