Amed co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı's detentions protests in Turkey and Kurdistan's cities
News bureau (DİHA) - Amed co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı detentions and raiding to town hall by police forces was protested by HDP and thousands citizens in many cities of Kurdistan and Turkey.
İZMİR
HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) İzmir Provincial Organization made a statement the press to protest for Kışanak and Anlı's detentions in front of Konak Eski Sümerbank. Political party, Non Government Organizations'(NGO) representatives and scores of citizens participated the press statement. "People's will can't be seized" written a banner was hold; "solidarity against fascism","Repressions can't intimidate us", "don't touch my political will" chanted during protest.
HDP provincial co-chair Mahfuz Güleryüz who made a statement on behalf of group "Metropolitan municipality Amed and İzmir are sister cities. Therefore we will back to our sister city Amed.We will not bow to illegal pressures" said.
After the statement group staged a sit-in.
ADANA
HDP Adana Provincial Organization made a statement the press to protest coup. "People's will can't be seized" written a banner was hold with participation of representatives of HDK(People's Democratic Congress), İHD( Human Rights Association), MKM(Mesopotamia Culture Center),MEYADER (the Mesopotamia Association of Relatives of the Missing).HDP provincial co-chair Gülseren Tural stated that they will protest to this enforcement everyday at 11.00 a.m.
MERSİN
HDP Mersin Provincial Organization hold an extraordinary meeting with HDK's and some other political parties' representatives in its party building. Hundreds police surrounded party's building with TOMA (Intervention Vehicle to Social Incidents). İt is expecting that provincial organization will have a statement the press to protest for Kışanak and Anlı's detentions
ŞIRNEX
Cizîr (Cizre) the city town still under the violence and pressures of Turkish State also reacted against illegal detentions on the streets.DBP (Democratic Regions Party),MEYA-DER and employees of Cizîr Municipality participated press statement. group was circumvented by police forces .DBP co-chair Kadir Kunur " we are familiar with these policies from the past.There are already anti-democratic pressures over Kurds for years"
İSTANBUL
HDP Istanbul Provincial Organization,HDK Istanbul Provincial Council made a press statement to protest for Kışanak and Anlı's detentions in Galatasaray Square. Scores of people participated with "HDP is people, people are here", Solidarity against fascism" chants.Group was circumvented and threatened to attack by police forces during protest. Meanwhile in Kadıköy and Bakırköy protests organized by HDP.
Apart from these cities HDP and HDK organized protests also in Kocaeli,Bursa,Ankara, Antalya,Riha and Colemérg.
